The connection between Calton Hill and Holyrood Park is an important one. Both are part of the Arthur’s Seat Volcano Site of Special Scientific Interest. Not only do we share a volcano but also a lot of wildlife.
Following the presentation by Holyrood Park Conservation Ranger Matt McCabe on ‘Rare species in Holyrood Park’ at our online meeting on 6 February, Matt is leading a special walk, with the theme ‘Exploring Holyrood Park: geology and rare plant species’. This will start at 14.00 from Holyrood Park Education Centre , 1 Queens Drive, Edinburgh, EH8 8HG.
Please write to <Chair@CaltonHillTrust.org> to reserve a place. Please note this walk will be limited to 20 participants. All are welcome. Non-members will be asked to make a £10 donation — or join!
