There is still time to see Robert Barker’s panorama of Edinburgh taken from Calton Hill — the first attempt to take a whole 360 degree view and make it into a single image — first displayed in 1788.
The exhibition lasts until 18 July at the National Records of Scotland, HM General Register House, 2 Princes Street EH1 3YY.
