The Trust made a short deputation to the City of Edinburgh Culture and Communities Committee on 27 February — to support the report on the Firework Control Zone and ask for a longer period of coverage.

In response, a Green Group addendum was passed noting: there is no explanation given why it is being proposed the Calton Hill, Balerno and Seafield Zones are not being recommended for renewal. . . the report highlights success of the Zones on Calton Hill (4.17) and in Balerno (4.15) . . . amends recommendations so that consultations proceed on these three zones, as well as the others proposed.
The report has a whole was referred to Full Council, and it is not clear yet whether the consultation will allow for a longer period than 10 days.
